Is Elite accredited?

No, Elite is not yet accredited. However, we are approved by the state of Missouri Cosmetology and Barber Examiners

What’s the difference between an accredited school and a state (Missouri Cosmetology and Barber Examiners) approved school?

Accreditation signifies that a beauty school has met the national standards for education set by third-party accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.  Accrediting organizations have established consistent criteria to assess beauty schools, including factors such as curriculum, facilities, instruction quality, staff credentials, and admission policies. However, not all beauty schools are accredited. Despite not being accredited, many of these beauty schools still offer excellent beauty school programs. It’s also important to note that schools without accreditation may be in the process of seeking accreditation or they may have determined that the rigorous and costly nature of the accreditation process is not feasible for them.

Schools that are eligible for accreditation and have obtained Title IV status from the U.S. Department of Education can offer federal student financial aid, which is beneficial for students who require assistance in funding their education. In order to retain their licensure or accreditation, schools must undergo periodic renewal processes. These processes involve demonstrating the effectiveness of their education, maintaining specific graduation and job placement rates, and meeting industry standards. If a school's programs fall short in certain areas measured by the accreditation process, the accrediting agency has the authority to withdraw accreditation.

Are grants or financial aid available?

No, neither is available for this program.

Are there any additional fees?

Yes. There is a $150 non-refundable application fee and you must also submit a $5 non-refundable fee (check/money order only-made out to BOARD OF COSMETOLOGY AND BARBER EXAMINERS) for enrollment.

Why is a deposit required at enrollment?

The deposit is required to secure your seat, cover books, kit and supplies.

Can I order books and a kit from another source outside of the school?

No. Replacement uniforms, books, kits and supplies must be purchased through the school's trusted vendor for insurance and safety reasons.

Can I bring in my own nail products/supplies and equipment?

Unfortunately, for insurance and safety reasons you may not bring in outside equipment or products.

Does the school offer payment plans?

Yes, however students will be required to complete a Payment Plan Agreement. Payments are due the 15th of every month.  Failure to make a payment will result in suspension due to default of contract.  In order to return the student must pay the outstanding bill plus the current week’s tuition payment to bring the account current.

What forms of payment does the school accept?

We only accept the following forms of payment: Personal Checks, Cashier’s Check, Money Order, Debit and Major Credit Cards.

All students will be required to wear a name tag, black scrubs (ordered through school), and closed toe shoes. No flip flops, sandals, boots or mules

Will I receive a certificate at the end of the program?
